Poinsettias

Poinsettias

One of my poinsettias is still blooming in May and will probably continue for a while. Last year it still had a few red leaves in mid-August. I have 2 poinsettias - the oldest was a gift from a friend around 6 or 7 years ago and the second grew from a branch I broke off accidentally when transplanting to a new pot. I gifted another quite healthy clone to the friend who gave us the first one.

Sheds

Sheds

As I travel around, I often stop to photograph sheds. Sometimes it is the colour or shape; others may look abandoned and others may be brightly painted. Like my new album to see others!

Seals

Seals

It was a beautiful day in June 2003 and I was in a small boat photographing a huge iceberg in Conception Bay. We sighted a seal taking a break on a piece of iceberg and approached it slowly. It was nervous so we didn't get too close, but I did get a few nice pictures. Grates Cove

Grates Cove

Grates Cove is a scenic little community on the NW tip of the Avalon Peninsula. I recommend it if you haven't explored the many communities around the Baccalieu Trail.

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

In May 2016, my wife and I had a pleasurable stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta. Of course, during my stay, I took many photos and will share them in an album on Facebook. This hotel is world-famous and many celebrities have stayed there. If you are curious about the hotel and its surroundings, I will share photos taken inside and outside the buildings. I will also include pictures taken while hiking in the area.
